It was very challenging. Seeing it now, I wish I had worked more on the background. I need to do some serious effort to improve my backgrounds. This painting involved quite a bit of studies from 80's movies such as labyrinth and indiana jones. It took me a while to zero-in on the mood I wanted and the scene I would portray.
It had to be based on the title of a song from Judas Priest. I chose bloodstone after trying out exile, last rose of summer, a touch of evil and others.
